Pi-Nu Chapter of Kappa Sigma
About Pi-Nu

Built on Brotherhood Since 2008

Founded at Ramapo College, the Pi-Nu Chapter of Kappa Sigma continues to uphold the values of fellowship, leadership, scholarship, and service.

Our Story

A chapter founded with intention.

On December 6th, 2008, thirty founding members were formally initiated at Ramapo College, with brothers from the Temple, Bloomsburg, Stockton, and Brooklyn chapters in attendance to welcome them into Kappa Sigma.

From the start, Pi-Nu was built on something larger than a single class of men. The founders set out to create a chapter centered on real brotherhood, personal growth, and a tradition strong enough to outlast any one generation.

That intent still shapes the chapter today — in how we recruit, how we lead, and how we show up for one another and the community around us.

Brotherhood

Pi-Nu is built on the relationships between its members — late nights, shared milestones, and the kind of accountability that only comes from people who genuinely have your back.

Leadership & Growth

Lifelong Connection

The friendships forged in Pi-Nu don't end at graduation. Alumni stay engaged, mentor younger brothers, and remain a defining part of the chapter long after they leave campus.

Philanthropy Legacy

A mission set by the founders.

From the chapter's earliest days, Pi-Nu's founders dedicated its philanthropic mission to fighting leukemia and lymphoma — a cause that has shaped the chapter's identity ever since.

That mission lives on through BuzzAway, Pi-Nu's annual philanthropy event, which has been held every year since the chapter's founding. Each year, BuzzAway raises money for Blood Cancer United while bringing brothers, alumni, and the community together for a single shared purpose.
