Service is a core part of our chapter's identity. Pi-Nu is committed to supporting meaningful causes, strengthening our local community, and contributing to national Kappa Sigma philanthropic initiatives.
Pi-Nu's Annual BuzzAway
For the past 17 years, the Pi-Nu Chapter of Kappa Sigma Fraternity has proudly hosted its annual Buzzaway philanthropy event, bringing together the community through competition and brotherhood. Each year, Buzzaway raises and donates thousands of dollars to Blood Cancer United in support of those affected by various blood cancers.
Military Heroes Campaign
As Kappa Sigma's national philanthropy, the Military Heroes Campaign supports veterans and active service members. Pi-Nu brothers contribute through fundraisers, awareness events, and direct chapter giving each year.
Heart of Gold 5K
Founded in 2023 by Pi-Nu member Nico Tucci, the Heart of Gold 5K brings together the local community for a charity run/walk with over 100 participants each year. Since its founding, the event has raised over $10,000 for Oakland first responders and Ramapo-Bergen Animal Refuge (RBARI).
Local Community Service
Pi-Nu is rooted in Mahwah and the surrounding community. Brothers volunteer hands-on with local organizations, lend support at community events, and show up where help is needed throughout the year.
